There are PB and HB Versions of each of the following classes

 

Account Maintenance / Overview

This required 6-hour core class provides an A – Z overview of every activity tab in the Account Maintenance. application. You will learn:

• Apex terminology such as what is a Guarantor Account or what is a HAR.

• How to look up a patient.

•The difference between Apex’s wide array of buttons and activities.

•How to find and interpret financial data necessary to perform billing.

 

Registration Billing

This required 4-hour core class provides an A – Z overview of Coverages and Registration, including:

•How to successfully navigate the Registration application.

•How to change a patient’s address properly so that it does not interfere with claims.

•How to add, terminate and swap out insurance plans.

•How to create and swap out Guarantor Accounts.

•How to perform Undo Billing and perform Visit Filing Order.

 

Charge Router and Charge Review workqueues

This 4-hour class is designed for Coders or anyone performing Charge Review. It includes:

•Workqueues 101.

•How to edit Charge Sessions.

•How to fix common Charge Router and Charge review errors.

•How to access a Chart and how to Send an InBasket message to a Provider.

 

Claim workqueues and Follow-up workqueues

This by request only 8-hour class is designed for anyone working Claim or Follow-up edits. It includes:

:•Features in Common to all workqueues

•How to work basic Claim errors, Denials and what to do when the insurance doesn’t pay.

 

Customer Service

This by request only 4-hour class is designed for anyone performing Customer Service: It includes:

•How to simultaneously take a phone call and look up a patient.

•How to navigate to the screens in Account Maintenance needed to answer common questions.

•How to preform common Customer Service activities.

 

Payment Posting

This by request only 4-hour class provides you with the basics of posting guarantor payments, insurance payments, denials and recoupments for PB and HB.
